Sanford Media Center

Apple computers are available for all UA students in the Sanford Media Resource and Design Center ("SMC"), located on the 2nd floor of Gorgas. In addition, the SMC also provides other industry-standard equipment and software for media productions, including digital SLR and still cameras, high definition digital camcorders, tripods, sound recorders, microphones, MIDI controllers, international VHS and DVD players, turntable, mini-disc player, audio cassette player, digital conversion tools, flatbed scanners, 35mm negative and positive scanners, and media card readers.

All currently enrolled University of Alabama students may use the SMC  esources. It is possible and may be desirable during busy times to reserve equipment in advance.
