The Haiti Broadside

The Haiti Broadside has been created and executed cooperatively by faculty and students at the University of Alabama School of Library & Information Studies to raise funds for libraries in Haiti destroyed or damaged in the 2010 earthquake. There are 75 numbered copies of the broadside, which is printed on handmade paper made from cotton clothing, and features “Night and Day” by Paul Laraque, a Haitian poet, and a dramatic original design by UA artist Sarah Marshall. To purchase a broadside (11” x 17”) for $55.00 including shipping and handling, please contact Retia Boone at 205-348-4610 or rboone@slis.ua.edu.
