PLEASE NOTE
Students should prepare for professional positions from the start of their LIS programs. Taking advantage of opportunities such as internships, volunteering, contributing time and expertise to School activities, joining student and other organizations, preparing posters for conferences, and so on, will help immensely in preparing an application and starting in a new position.
A professional digital presence is extremely important in one’s career. Make sure that yours is squeaky clean. Employers use social networking and other applications to find out about applicants, so check frequently and act accordingly.
