Southern Association of Colleges and Schools

The University of Alabama is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS), a regional accrediting agency serving the southeastern United States and Latin America.

American Library Association

The Master of Library and Information Studies degree is accredited by the American Library Association (ALA) through its Committee on Accreditation and is one of fifty-eight accredited programs in the United States and Canada. It is the only ALA-accredited program in the state of Alabama.

National Association of Schools of Art and Design

The Master of Fine Arts in Book Arts program is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD), the national accrediting agency for art and design and art and design-related disciplines.
